I recently discovered bamboospun (the brand) yarn. Mmm, 77% bamboo. It is very soft and snuggly, not to mention eco-friendly! So, I present to you my very simple super slouchy bamboo hat! Made up as I went, no pattern.

The design is simple, just a rib and double crochet, partly because the yarn is too chunky to properly do any decorative stitching with, and because the hat is for function (mostly), not decoration.

Close up of the rib (*proud*) and beautifulness of the yarn.

I'm pretty sure I need to go buy skeins in every color of this now, because it is so amazing.

Good job, looks great on you. I'm totally in love with slouchy beanie/beret hats this winter. It's a lovely colour too!

I'd be interested in doing a personal swap with anyone who wants to do a fabric-wool swap. I have lots of wool and yarns!

Ooh I love it. I've felt how awesome bamboo yarn is, but it all seems like a small amount for more than I'm willing to pay (at least right now Tongue). What kind did you use?

Wow I've never heard of bamboo yarn before.  I'm going to have to look for it!  The hat looks great!  I'm not brave enough to try out my own made up patterns yet...still sticking to the patterns in books.

I absolutely looooove slouchy berets. I just can't seem to make them. They either turn out way to small for my big noggin, or they aren't slouchy. I'm so uber jealous!!!  Cheesy it looks great!
