This is my second completed one but much bigger than my first. It is about 6x6 in a 8x8 frame. Made for my grandma for Christmas. She loves cardinals.

I've been working on it off and on for a couple months.I spent three movies worth of time yesterday doing all the blue. There are a few small gaps but they are not noticeable in the frame.

It's so pretty! I've always wanted to learn punchneedle. Is it hard?

Nope, it's not hard at all. You just thread the special needle and start punching. There is only one motion so it's easy and pretty fast. You just need to make sure that your material is drum tight while you are working. I tried with the embroidery hoops but was having trouble keeping it tight, so I bought a special gripper frame and had no trouble after that. Muslin is a popular choice for fabric but anything with a similar weave can be punched.

This is the woman I got my kit from along with one of her books. She focuses on miniature work but mine is much bigger than hers. I found her at a fiber fest I went to and she is really nice. I was having trouble so when the next fiber fest came around I found her and she helped me figure everything out.
