If you remember the last button tree that I added, then this will look very familiar.

My first tree was snapped up in STS and the person who claimed it asked me to do her a 4 Seasons set! Cheesy

This is Part Deux... Autumn.

Next is Winter which I need to put some thought into because she wants a completely stark tree, no buttons, no snow.

This is exactly what I love about autumn! Those lovely colours!  Shocked
Very beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

And about the winter tree, maybe adding some dark clouds? Or a black backing and a white tree, 'cause of the darkness? Just "thinking out loud" ... trying to help you...

I love your button trees-- they're so sweet. And as soon as I read that you've gotten a request for a winter tree, I pictured something involving silvery floss... hmm... I may have just inspired myself! Smiley

first! omg this is so stinking CUTE!! i love buttons. a lot. the world can not have enough buttons in it. i'm always looking for new ways to use them. be forewarned - i will be stealing this idea! =)

second - it makes me SAD =( that she doesn't want buttons in the winter one! i was already having visions of a little blue/white/clear/frosted button extavaganza! oh well...

and third! just an idea, if it's not too late.... i saw this quilt once, and the lady had taken some mesh (like for the underlayers of a pouffe skirt - technical terms are not my forte) okay i googled it - like tulle, but a stiff tulle with larger holes - in a dark brown, and cut it into a rough treetop shape, and tacked it to the fabric, then embroidered the treetrunk onto the quilt below the tulle & embroidered the branches spreading up over the tulle... hard to describe and i wish i could sketch u a visual, but hopefully you get the idea.... it was neat - definitely gave you the visual impression of a barren tree with all the fine tiny branches exposed against the sky... anyways that's what popped into my head when you said winter but no snow - looking forward to seeing the rest of the series!!!!
