I am new to this board but I thought I might as well try my luck in this challenge and share a really simple finger food idea.

Puff pastry - tomato - squares

Ingredients:
1 package of puff pastry
2 tomatoes, 1 garlic clove, olive oil, pepper & salt, some basil

Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 350F. Cut the puff pastry into 1.5 inch squares.
Cut the tomatoes into thin slices. Put the tomato slices on the puff pastry squares.
Season the squares with some pepper.
Place those squares on a baking tray which is covered with baking paper.
Put the tray into the oven for about 15 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.

Cut the garlic clove into small cubes. Cut the basil into small stripes.
Mix the garlic with some olive oil and basil stripes. Brush the squares with the olive-garlic-basil mixture and season with some salt.

Can be served either warm and cold.
