My friends have a band called AXE AND THE OAK.  It's dark rock with a post punk twang - think Bauhaus, Cramps, etc.  They are awesome.

I loved that their name is four three-letter words.  Their first EP was in a black envelope with the info screen-printed in gold so I wanted to stick with the color theme.  The thread is metallic (I forget what it's called but they sell it in larger skeins next to the regular floss in the craft store) and a pain to work with.  Keeping the strands short helped a lot.

I'll probably get this framed for them.  Am thinking my new series will be the names/logos of my favorite SoFla bands because there are (finally) so many amazing ones.  Grin
