I've just recently started making jewelry-type things and haven't gotten too creative so far. For some reason green is my new favorite color...

Lariat-style e bead necklace with cheesy assemblage of a brass pistol, feather, and leaf beads.

Seed and bugle bead anklet with leaf beads.
I realized while making these that my string-finishing abilities are somewhat lacking/non-existent. I ended up tying a knot, dabbing with clear nail polish, and slapping a crimp bead to tie off ends, which doesn't look terribly but not perfect either. For some reason I didn't feel secure with just using one or two of the above-mentioned methods. I've been using nymo and cotton thread. Anyone have any hints?

Here's a picture of me wearing the necklace--apologies for the latenes and blurriness...you'd be amazed how difficult it is to find ANYTHING after a move...especially with the amount of crap I have!

Both very pretty. I like the idea of using the feather at the bottom of the lariat. Very good colors, the mixture of yellow-green and green.
