I have recently learnt to single crochet, from tutorials online, and made the glove below, somehow! I made a chain and sc'd from the bottom upwards, but couldn't figure out what to do when I made the thumb hole- I made chains in a small circle and worked upwards, but then had a gap/ 'cut' where it should attach to the rest of the glove (where the webbed part of your thumb is) so I did some kind of sc/slip stitch thing where the funny lumpy bits are.

Oooo, that's a pretty yarn! May I ask what it is?
And wow, does that mean you just learned to crochet, and immediately went to design your own patterns for the gloves? Cool!

I will tell you as soon as I remember the name or dig out the label. It's a lot lighter than the pic shows, it has a tweed grey sort of colour then emerald and orange and fuschia.

Well, technically, yes, but only in single crochet, and it was a bit wonky! I used to try to knit but never got past knit/purl/drop stitches stage. I like the way with crochet that you can work in 3D and almost 'sculpt' the yarn- plus it's pretty much impossible to drop a stitch other than the one you're currently working on.

I'll post again when I've worked out the lumpy bit and have a pair of gloves!
