Since I have a newly reorganized sewing room, courtesy of my boyfriend and a trip to IKEA, I have been sewing like crazy.  I made the 3 smaller clutches (4 1/2 x 9) the other day, and the larger (12 x 6) a little while ago.  I just winged the small size, and it was super easy!  I used snaps as closures on the small clutches, first with a snap setter, with poor results, then resorted to a hammer.  I gave up on the bigger one, because of finicky fabric, and used black velcro.  I would really suggest trying a bag like this, because they sew up fast, and are instant gratification.  I made two for Halloween, and the other two for anytime bags.

The clutches are adorable, but I wanted to say I know how you feel about the newly reorganized sewing room. I recently did that and have been crafting/sewing up a storm since. It's like having a whole new space, it's wonderful and really seems to help creativity!

Yup!  I bought one of those bags of assorted buttons from Joann's (the Halloween version) and stuck it on there.  They made really cute earrings if you snap the loop off, and glue it to an earring back.
