Well, We have a tiny white sea turtle that was left in the nest and the government allowed us to keep him in our aquarium  I am a volunteer at our local NC Aquarium So I made a white pumpkin turtle to honor our new baby that w/o our help would never have never made it in the wild even if he could have got to the ocean from the nest

The whole thing is from white pumpkin and gourd his eyes and claws are toasted pumpkin seeds, his mouth is a stem from a gourd and the rest is all pumpkin

And you can see our little white hatchling white sea turtle He is a Loggerhead turtle, very rare and never really survive in the wild as they stand out like Well, You see here..in the tank with him is a brother/sister from the same nest. That one will one day be set into the wild when bigger and stronger Smiley

I know I am image happy but here it is in the Aquarium set on the hatching nest so people see what a nest looks like Smiley I was tickeled to see where they placed him Smiley

I was so shocked when I went in last night and saw it was put in a place of honor for me in the turtle nesting ground of the Loggerhead exhibit! WOOT WOOT for me Smiley I am just thrilled to see you all like it..Funny they have different marks on the back like diamonds and dots unlike some turtles...This poor little guy/girl ( I say him but it has not been sexed) we found in the bottom of the nest all alone and not able to help itself we got him out and he is a handicap turtle with a bit of swimming issues, he could not eat as his beak is malformed and he has a clef pallet Cry he is now doing so much better and we hope to help him/her have a long long life and provide education about conservation and the endangered loggerhead sea turtle Smiley

What a beautiful carving and a wonderful story! I hate to say this but the carving looks like white chocolate to me, and makes me want to eat it! But maybe I'm just hungry. Best of luck to the new turtle!
