I sent two packages on Thursday that should be there tomorrow, so I can maybe make two more claims before I leave on vacation.  I seriously packed a half a suitcase of yarn for claims and to do projects for christmas while I'm away.  I'm going to California! to spend time with my girlfriend and stalk celebrities. ~~ IF YOU PRINT POSTAGE FROM HOME THAT IS FINE HOWEVER, FROM NOW ON AS WE HAVE HAD SOME ISSUES YOU MUST MUST MUST TAKE THAT PACKAGE INTO THE POST OFFICE AND GIVE TO THE COUNTER PERSON TO SCAN AS PROOF YOU SHIPPED~~

Everyone keep in mind where she says "MUST MUST MUST", I think she is really kindly asking for people to kindly do so for this round, as she can't change the rules in the middle of a swap. If you are able to get it scanned, it would be nice to do so. If you aren't able to, it isn't a requirement until next round.

I would love to swap for things kids could do in the car on a long car trip (3 girls ages 5-12). I can knit, crochet or trade yarn.

This is very important as we have only had one shipper and this has not affected her but from now on PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE this is only protecting you and your hard work!! If package goes missing you will get neg feedback until you send a second claim so we can not have to deal with that by just running it into the post office and giving to the counter to scan Smiley

Well, actually, I shipped today using Endicia so I cannot get them scanned now since they are out of my hands now and already mailed.   Undecided  Babalina, I understand your concerns, but the should probably be a request for this round and a rule change for next round as the rules are not allowed to be modified like this once a swap is in progress.

My local PO never scans the items right in front of me.  They take the packages and toss them in a bin behind them unless I purchase the DC right then and there, which is more expensive.  I always hand my items directly to my mail carrier when I print postage at home or if it's first class, I'll drop it in a mailbox.

Would this still be an issue?  Is this okay?  I guess I'm just confused on what the issue could be with printing postage at home and handing to a mail carrier.

According to her new rule, no that wouldn't be okay. They might not scan it. I don't understand why this is truly necessary either, but we don't have it say it in. It is the organizers call.

the issue is that there have been a few say they shipped, and never was the packaged scanned so we cant prove this happened. Their partner never received and this was the issue. So I asked and was told that that this is a way around that...You can print at home and ask your carrier to scan it in for you and they have to do this if asked by you Smiley win win

NOW, if someone is wanting to NOT do this fine but if it does not show then NEG feedback will be left if it does not show up in a timely manor..There will most likely not be time to get a second package out as this swap is only gives one week and NEG feedback left...This is NOT a huge issue for some but it is a safety net of sorts!

If your in this swap, have issues you can PM me about it and we can talk about it Smiley
This is NOT to protect me at all it is to protect the people who craft and work hard and then poof into the abyss of the postal black hole and your then in a bad spot with Neg feedback and re-crafting or angling Sad
