I made this cute owl coin purse for my Mom because she is so wonderful and always helps me so much. When I gave it to her I stuffed it with Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, her favorite. She seemed to like it and thought it was really cute.
I got the pattern from Keykalou. I wanted to do something that let me play with patterns and combining colors. I went with a fall motif. It's a fun pattern and I can't wait to make more!
Next time I will place the velcro a little lower because the beak pokes out a bit when it's closed.
Thanks for checking it out!  Smiley

I like how the beak pokes out a bit.  i suppose it may not be practical in your purse, as it might pull open more easily, but it does look cute that way!

What a cute purse - great job!  I wonder if putting the velcro strip vertically rather than horizontally would help?  That way it would still be secure close to the opening (so the coins are less likely to fall out) and would keep the beak in place.
