It is a long weekend here, and it's rainy and cold.  Sad

So I took the opportunity to spend the afternoon at the sewing machine after being inspired by a post on the Prudent Baby blog for dress up bird wings. Super adorable! Mine are a little different, and my daughter loves them!

A little close up of a wing.

And just for this picture she decided they were vampire wings.

They actually were put together pretty quickly, and it gave me some good use out of older fabric I haven't touched in ages. I'm super happy with how well they turned out, and that my daughter hasn't taken them off yet and has been running around the house "tweeting".  Cheesy

Oh, so great! I've had this project on my list for a bit but haven't had the time to do it. Now I'll have to though, they just look so amazing!

Those are cool!  Do you have interfacing in them, or are they really floppy?  I think my daughter would love something like that, too!  And such a good idea to use up stash fabrics! Smiley

Thanks everyone!

They are not interfaced, but you could easily do so to make them stiffer!
