My boyfriend's birthday is the beginning of December and the Christmas will spring up on me in no time.  I have all my ideas (silk screen ties [day-glo pterodactyl!  anyone?], a pillow with his face on one side and mine on another based on a link his friend posted on good ole' facebook, and a beer mug w/ an etching.)
I'm having issues w/ the mug though.  His favorite video game is silent hill but I know very little about it but I want to use that as the theme.  I just can't find any good images, logos, ect that are simple enough to do an etching with (especially since I haven't actually done it before.)
Or even any other small ideas to round everything out.  He likes video games, horror movies, beer, metal, cooking...

why don't you try etching this image?
It's the save point of Silent Hill, I don't know how to etch glasses so I can't tell if it's hard or not. Maybe it is because it's a circle. So I thought maybe this was easier?
The Umbrella logo from Resident Evil, if he likes that game!
Hope it helps!  Smiley

Perfect!  I was looking for something just like this!  He does like Resident Evil also.  Maybe I should make a pair of glasses.  I don't think etching is difficult but I decided on some glass paint instead...  Thank you!
