How Lovely

Hey LimeGreenFairy, jump over to the needlework board and have a look at the Teesha Moore stitch along and her tutorials, she basically just stitches her segments to the cover, you can see the stitches but she uses bright, contrasting embroidery threads and it looks pretty good. That's how I've done mine, it's not the neatest but it doesn't look too bad. I hope things get better for you soon!!!

I'm like a week behind now... Ooops.

I've got everything laid out though, and no training tonight, so I should be set for a crafting night in front of Paul McDermott (oh swoon!)

I've been really good about journaling every day, though most of what I write isn't about that particular day.

I wish I were doing more art. I have nothing yet that would qualify as a layout! there's decoration, but not much, y'know, personal, meaningful, composed, non-text pages. I think I'm keeping parts of me out of this project, i.e. by not binding the book from scratch or doing much artwork...since I'm going to have to part with the journal next month, I guess I don't want to be too attached to it!

I don't do art at all, Calluna so please don't worry your head about it. From me, you'll get a lot of collage with different colour papers. All stuck on a base of whatever I've accumulated throughout the day. Really. Scissors + gluestick is about the level of my ability to make an artistic journal page :p I suspect I express myself better through words than through 'art'.

my joural has been homemade out of a skirt :L so it will most probably fall apart when reading.
i came up with the ingenious idea of not gluing the pages in straight away in case i needed more so now it is just loose pages and its annoying ugh i also have no idea how i am going to put the pages in now i have the feeling pritstick wont work.. ive been gluing and taping in little bits and pieces and doodleing on it but no real artyness on it .. yet! however i have the feeling my journal shall be a depressing read as these weeks have not been the best!

all the best Smiley

That's how I'm going about this journal too. I have a bunch of loose pages right now that I will bind... SOMEHOW... into a journal. I'm not terribly worried about the how at the moment, because no matter how I manage to bind this thing is just going to be another expression of my ad lib creativity.

; w ; I see this journal as a pit of depression and angst right now!!!!
I was already feeling emotional from Doctor Who (LOL) and I'd been writing about something that happened very early in the morning, and I started bawling while trying to write >////<
Soo I kinda dislike this journal now Sad

I think I may paste in some things into it because it feels boring, but some of what I paste in might make it even weirder and potentially more depressing lmao.

Do whatever you're comfortable with- these journals are to be an accurate depiction of a month in our lives. Sad stuff happens and those experiences are just as important as the happy things
