Can anyone recommend a good embroidery stitch book? I know there are lots of online resources, which is great, but I want to have a book so I don't have to check the computer every ten seconds to see how a specific stitch is done. Thanks in advance.  Grin

I love my copy of "The Complete Guide to Embroidery Stitches" compiled by Reader's Digest.

I refer to my copy of Marion Nichols frequently - an oldie but a goodie. Illustrations are all black and white drawings, but there are full instructions for all sorts of things.

The Inspirations A-Z books (publ. Country Bumpkin) have great step-by-step photos - the ones I have from their series are excellent. They are particularly easy to follow for newer embroiderers. Excellent quality publications.

I definitely second the recommendation for the A-Z books.  I use mine when I'm looking for some new or creative stitches to work in to a project.   Grin (Had to use a pumpkin smiley!!)
