You know that yarn that sits around, just beautiful and soft, and it's waiting for the perfect project? That's what this yarn was. A good friend gave me some (then later sent me even more when I started this project) and I finally found a pattern on Ravelry that was perfect.

After a lot of trouble with the pattern not fitting right, and what was supposed to be a cowl soon turned into a scarf, I'm very happy with it.

I think this is going to be perfect for the long cold winters we have here. The yarn is a Merino Wool/Silk blend, which makes it really soft, yet warm.

And I've never worked too much with cables, so this was really fun to really get the hang of it!

The scarf is fastened with a button on one side. It's more of just a long cowl, but not quite a hooded scarf.

And a fun shot for the close-up of the cables. Smiley

Thanks for looking! C&C welcome!

Thanks!! It was a lot of fun to make, and definitely fun to get the hang of cables!

The yarn brand is called Filatura Lanarota and it's called Soft Silk. It's a surprisingly heavy, yet silky yarn. The whole thing weighs quite a bit, which will make it nice for our bitter winters here. lol
