Hotpants time!

So, I haven't posted in forever and ever and ever! Well, I haven't sewed in ages, so it's not like I've had anything to share Buut, I got the crave again and whipped up these hotpants. They'd been on my mind for a long time before I finally hunkered down and made them. I love in a dorm now, and a lovely friend modeled them for me in her (so charmingly messy) room. I don't know, I just really liked the nonchalant feel of having a messy backdrop.

These are made with a damask knit (I've made some underwear from them as well) with black knit for contrast.



I got the plaid/houndstooth lycra a while ago, but this is the first I've used it. The metallic spandex was a gift for helping the girls across the hall with their togas.



And finally, my favorite thing to work with: animal print! If I could, I'd deck out everything in it.

 fall and winter is moving in very slowly but quickly this year, but somehow looking at your Hot pants I would still wear them in the coldest of weather.
