I got my final dotee today, from Pixiefirefly

I love the sparkle of her glitter swirls and the beads in her tail.  And all the purple.

Thanks everyone for the comments on my dotees - I knew right away from the request I would do Marie Antoinette and then thought of doing all three dotees with identical bodies but seeing how different I could get the final results to be.
I was a costume design minor in college and did my final project as dolls instead of paintings, so I've a long history of making historical dolls.

I really enjoyed this exchange, it's been a long time since I've made something so wee and I'd forgotten the fun of it.

I'm glad you liked it patchwork. I origionally wanted to do a dragon but couldn't figure out how I was going to do it so I thought maybe a weird design with purple in it. Obviously I went with the weird design. There's swirls in the fabric too. You did say you liked sparkley! lol

I received my final dotee from Pixiefirefly yesterday. A halloween dotee decorated with lots of ribbon:

See the purple ribbon on top has glitter bats embossed on it. And spider webs on the fabric are also embossed.

Here are all 3 that I received:

And the three that I made:

Thanks again everyone for an easy and smooth swap.
