I know glass tile pendants aren't anything new, but...I'm new at making them so I'm excited to show it off. Cheesy

I made this for the OTT Halloween rd2 and it was one of the first few I've ever made. I discovered you need a few days to complete one to be sure all layers dry properly before moving on to the next step. But when you take your time, they come out so fun!!

This was a vintage postcard that I cropped in on the owl. My partner listed both "vintage Halloween" and "owls" in her 5 themes so I thought this was a fun way of incorporating both.

Oh and the $9.99 I spent on the 3/4" square hole punch was the best money ever spent when making these pendants! Grin

As always, feedback welcome!

Nicely done, and I love the illustration!  What is your technique (you mention doing it in layers) -- and where do you get 3/4 inch square glass tiles?!?!

I particularly like how the colors in the image carry out through the silver findings and the cord. Classy!

First I adhere the image to the tile with Diamond Glaze. Let it dry.

Then I coat the back of the image with Diamond Glaze again. Let it dry.

Third, I add a backing on top of the image, like a pretty scrapbook paper or something. I also coat that with a layer of Diamond Glaze and let dry.

Final stage is adhering the bail with E-6000 which stinks but works. Let that dry fully.

Then I strung it on some brown cord, attached a lobster clap clasp and Voila!

As for the glass tiles themselves...I got an awesome supply package of everything I need to make glass tile pendants in various sizes in a previous round of OWS. (On-going wish swap) I just know that my 3/4" hole punch fills the indented side perfectly on these.

Thanks! You can't see it but I finished the cord with a lobster claw clasp so it's more like a real necklace as well instead of just being tied.
