I bought cute Halloween cupcake wrappers with the intention of making cupcakes for class parties---but decided to do cakes instead...so, what do you do with 100+ Halloween cupcake wrappers? Make a wreath!

This took about an hour--and I am happy with it--it is pretty neutral from far away, but you can see the Halloween images up close. These are Martha Stewart cupcake papers, 3 packs of assorted designs.

I am making another for Christmas, I think, so will post in process pix, but it is super super easy--here are the directions I wrote up for my blog Wink

Easy Cupcake Wreath Directions

Supplies:

    *  14" Straw wreath base
    * 150 Decorative cupcake wrappers (mine are from Martha Stewart's Halloween collection, 3 packs)
    * 18" length of strong black yarn
    * Glue gun and glue sticks

Time to complete:
60-90 minutes
 Directions:

   1. Hold the cut ends of the yarn together and tie into a loop.
   2.  Attach the loop of yarn to the straw wreath using a lark's head knot.
   3. Use the glue gun to attach the cupcake wrappers all over the wreath. Place the cupcake wrappers with the right sides against the wreath. Vary the color placement so you don't have big clumps of a single color.

Allow the wreath to cool, then hang by the yarn loop.

Project notes: You don't have to make a Halloween wreath...you can use whatever wrappers appeal to you to get the look you want.
