The tree is beautiful!  I love how it seems to stand out from the fabric!

The puppy portrait is so sweet!  Looks just like your fox terrier!

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

How did you trace the dog onto the fabric? Great job on it!

The tree is gorgeous!

Finally got through the gallery (phew!). I'm so sad I had to drop out; husband had lost his job and we didn't know how we were gonna pay bills, let alone me buy some crafting stuff. He got a new job that pays so well we're actually caught up on everything and able to start doing fun things again. Then, uh, I had to hide from Craftster in November because I couldn't use distractions from NaNoWriMo. Smiley

Now I'm back! Wish I hadn't missed the December tiny hoopla. Any guesses on when January's will be? I miss my embroidery swaps. Smiley

Go for it! I'd love to see if you go ahead & post it to crafster!

How did you trace the dog onto the fabric? Great job on it!

The tree is gorgeous!

Thank you! I taped the drawing to a light box...then taped the fabric down over that so it wouldn't shift & then traced the lines. When I do portraits away from home, just taping the pattern to a window first & then the fabric taped over that will work....only my poor arm gets tired drawing that way. MS makes my arms feel heavy all the time. When I do small patterns & feel lazy about using all the tape, I'll hold my hoop over the fabric on the lightbox to trace & keep it from shifting...& it works alright.  Smiley

Congrats to hubby on the new job! Yay! I'm sure there will be another hoop swap shortly after this one wraps up. I'm looking forward to round 4 whenever it may be as well. I had to cut back on swapping in Dec... it's just too crazy with the kids & holidays.  Smiley

I just received Etheren's hoop in the mail the other day and nearly squealed with glee when I saw it!

It's very similar to one she made for herself that I admired as soon as I saw it.

How gorgeous is that little spider?!

But what really makes it special to me is the very Charlotte's Web message hidden amongst her web; it reads "Luceo non uro" which is a bit of a personal motto of mine, it means "I shine, not burn"

Thank you so much Etheren, it also matches the hoop bambii8899 made for me in colours so they look great together!

Spiders usually scare the heck out of me but that one is awesome! I love the web. What kind of thread was used for that? It looks so shiny and spider-ey Smiley.
