Oh man, I totally forgot to say that I worked off of a print from this very talented etsy seller:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/18908897/merry-matryoshka-aceo-print

I found it while searching for a cute matryoshka that I could make with lots of colors Smiley  I freehanded with a pen on the fabric for the outlines, but it was definitely her artwork!  Gotta give credit where credit is due, and I almost forgot  Embarrassed

WOW!!  I'm loving the matryoshka doll and the stitch variety.  I need to learn the wave!

OMG satin stitch overload!!  I've ruined one of thenorm's attempts trying to do satin stitch Sad  I'll eventually get it down, just not this round.

Can't wait to see more in here!!

Lovely hoops and a great start to the gallery!

The little matryoshka doll is adorable!  Love her!

And the Prof. Layton is quite amazing!  I love how he seems to be coming out of the hoop at you!

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

The bar has sure been set awfully high in this gallery. The doll is gorgeous and the stitching on the Prof is amazing.
