I'm glad you like her, sazzra (and everyone else!)! Smiley

I tried out a whole bunch of new stitches, since this site has so many: http://handembroiderynetwork.blogspot.com/search/label/Stitch%20A%20Day

If you scroll down the page, along the left hand side is a huge list of all kinds of tutorials for different stitches.  The fishnet looking stitch that I used along the doll's sides was the wave filling, which went quickly and was a lot of fun to do Smiley
http://handembroiderynetwork.blogspot.com/2009/11/stitch-day-wave-filling.html

Here's a picture that I took of her before I sent, not sure if it's any better.  And a closeup of her face.  I used some pretty cloud fabric that I had:

And I sortof made up a way to finish the back, because the other tutorials seemed awfully complicated  Tongue  Basically, I stitch along the extra fabric around the hoop, and pull it tight like a drawstring.  Then I cut a circle of felt the same size as the hoop, and blanket stitched it on.  Not sure if that was clear, but this was from the hoop I sent last round:

I am so relieved! I was so worried the fabric would come out of the hoop in shipment and then you'd see I didn't do stitching very far past the borders of the hoop, lol! I'm glad you like it, MizzKodak! And thanks all! This was my first time succeeding with satin stitch! I think it's because I finally learned that you do your satin stitching BEFORE your outline stitching. Every other time I tried I was doing it backwards!

What wonderful hoops to start our gallery with!!

The matryoshka doll is adorable! All of the different stitches are so neat.

And the satin stitching on the Nintendo DS hoop...holy cow?! That's a really cool image too Smiley.

Great job! I can't wait to see more!!
