River Tam... Can kill you with her brain

Have you ever been in a swap and you TOTALLY got carried away.  That is precisely what happen to me with the Joss Whedon swap I just participated in.

My partner has a little River Tam figurine on her wist and when I decided to recreate it the project got a mind of its own.
The result is this!




My partner also mentioned her favorite scene was from serenity "when River kicks reever ass"
So I made the dress and weapons.
I was disappointed that the only doll I could find to recon had green eyes [river has brown]  but I thought the overall effect was pretty good.

Sorry for obnoxious over photoage, but here is the process shots of the face re-sculpt and repaint.  I sure love my new dremel!

Her boots are made with real leather.  The bases are the old soles from the plastic sneakers she doll was wearing
The weapons are poly clay.  I hand formed and then refined with the dremel.

I am soooooooo lucky I got Silvana for a partner. I love my River Tam soooo much. I wanted to sleep with her last night, but was afraid I'd ruin her.    Silvana, you have wicked mad skills! I had no idea you made her, she's perfection!! Thank you again!!

this is sooooo amazing, I had no idea you could do this kind of thing with a Dremel! Makes me want to try sometime! This rocks!
