Cute Bentos for my kids & How to color a (molded) hard boiled egg

Bento for my daughter.
Bento for my son.
I used a Q-tip and food coloring to color the Hello Kitty Egg.
Obviously I used an egg mold to make the egg into a Hello Kitty.

The stitch container has ketchup for his octodog .
The recipe for the "powerball" is here
http://www.xobobox.com/lunchbox_ideas/healthy-kids-snack.html
.
But I posted it below for easy access.
This “Powerball” recipe makes about 40 snack balls, and leftovers can be kept in the fridge or frozen with wax paper separating the layers.
1. Mix 1 cup peanut butter and 1 cup honey until smooth
2. Add 3 cups old-fashioned oats and 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
3. Add 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup nuts and dried fruit (any combintion of peanuts, sliced almonds, chopped walnuts, chopped pecans, raisins, dried cranberries, chopped dates, etc)
4. Roll into ping-pong sized balls and store in fridge or freezer
I used chopped raisins, mini choc chips & chopped almonds. They are SOOO YUMMY!
I read online to peel the egg while it is still warm, which was hard to do, but I kept dipping it in ice water as I peeled, that helped the shell come off more smoothly. Then after I smushed the egg in the mold I soaked the entire mold in ice water for 10 mins, then I just left it in the fridge overnight IN the mold. This morning I opened the mold and that is what it looked like. This was the 1st time mine turned out well. I think the longer it is cold in the mold (hee hee) the better it will look.

I have the Hello Kitty egg mold as well, do you use any tricks to make it come out so well? Mine
could
be better. Ok... mine sucks. But yours looks great.
