Wow, that book looks so perfect! How on earth did you get it to look like that?

Thanks!  It's actually a legitimately really old book - I got it at a used bookstore near my college (our "college" town also happens to be a famous colonial-historical town, which can be useful).  It's this German text from I think the early 20th century.  I loved the font, and it was going to be a Potion book anyway, so I didn't really care that it was illegible.  I peeled off a lot of the front with painter's tape and aged the binding a little (though I had to sew it back together again when it fell apart, eesh).  The title and author name I carved into the book using an exacto knife, then painted it back in in gold.  It was actually pretty simple, but since the cover turned out to be paper instead of leather, it got messy quick when I had to carve and age it...

Received from DeSade13 this afternoon!  Look at everything she made me!

From Ollivander's, a charming (haha) wooden wand:

From Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, an adorable pygmy puff:

I love its little pig nose.  He's so cute that I'm half afraid my roommate will steal him from me.  She's been eying it... Wink  Can't blame her.

From Slug & Jigger's Apothecary, some little potion earrings (in traditional Ravenclaw Blue) and what looks like a teeny bottle of Felix Felicis:

That jewelry was wrapped up with a miniature racing broom, for my favorite class:

From Honeyduke's, a bouquet of blood pops to quench my sanguine palate:

From Madame Malkin's, a Deathly Hallows shirt and the Ravenclaw house tie from my Wist:

And then the extras!  A little bobblehead owl with candy owls inside of him and a little Witch Hat headband:

Such a fun package!  Thank you so much, DeSade13!  This was such a great experience for my first swap!

I am so glad you liked everything. I may have to make a pygmy puff for myself as well (it was hard to give him up haha).

As for the book, it is actually a bible. Between my friend and I, we were able to translate enough of the text to discover it is a copy of the Old Testament in German. Still one of my favorite items in the package Cheesy

Sirael:
Those homemade boxes are so cool, and I am having major envy about that beetle ring. The Potion's book is obviously awesome, especially with the story behind it.
Britters25:
Those candies only inflame my desire to go to the Wizarding World of HP, I love their packaging. The bag and the hoodie (hoody?) are also great.

Meanwhile, my partner got her package Thursday! Yay!

I got my amazing package from Interrobam on Thursday and I am so happy! I will get pictures up today or tomorrow, I had to leave for the weekend immediately after getting my package so I have not gotten to spend a lot of time with it.

She sent me (this is from memory so I am sorry if I miss something Emily!)
-Beedle the Bard charms handstitched from felt, so cute!!
-drawing of me as a Hogwarts student
-yummy-looking edible wands (chocolate covered pretzels?) in fancy packaging
-hand-beaded Moaning Myrtle bag
-hand beaded Luna Lovegood plushie complete with several different outfits and hairstyles/Spectre-specs and all the outfits came on their own little wire hangers. This is my favorite, I think. I can't wait to dress her up.

And apparently there is another surprise coming! (Which is so unnecessary, I just have the best swap partner ever. Be jealous.)

I hope I got everything! I can't tell you how thrilled I am with everything. <3

Oh, wow, I had no idea!  I speak Spanish, not a word of German.  That's pretty cool!  I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!

Britters25 - That Dark Mark sweatshirt came out brilliantly!

Technogoddess - Your Ron is so adorable.  Love the hair!
