I haven't posted a project in a while, and this is
clothing... which except for aprons, I've never done! I am working on a cigarette girl costume for halloween - so I will show you the hat as well, which is heavily inspired by
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=357281.0 which I still haven't commented on but I am going to right after this ... It's one of the most amazing things I've EVER seen on craftster, or the internet for that matter. I bookmarked it and just never commented. Maybe I was just speechless? Anyway, two weeks ago, biting off waaaay more than I could chew, I took the pictures to Joann's and bought a bunch of different fabrics and some accroutrements at other stores and I was on my way. This is where I am so far. I have another top started, but I'm not happy with it... so I'll be starting that over. Next I'll be working on the (circle) skirt, the glove-like things, the box that will hold my 72 boxes
of candy cigarettes and other offerings and maybe some little straps to go over my ankles that will look like they're attached to my high heels.

http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/anouschka-capelet?image=1682 and I made the pattern myself - I layed newspaper down onto a button-down shirt I have and sorta traced the pieces and changed it a little

Here is a pic of the fabric that I'm using for the skirt. It's a sort of gunmetal silver pleather! It's going to be a bitch to sew.
