I love Dr. Seuss, and the LORAX is my favorite......Embro idery is a relatively new found obsession for me and thought I would try the LORAX and one of his famous quotes.....

I love the look of the linen, but the weave of the fabric is so loose and I knew that I would be working small, so I used iron on interfacing on the back..... and it made the world of difference......I also used THREAD HEAVEN, and WOW, that stuff is amazing!!

I used a 6" hoop and 3 strands of DMC for the outline of the LORAX, 2 strands for the detail and the letters..... I know the letters aren't perfect, but it was my first try....and it was free hand... so I'm pretty happy with the way it all came out

here is a close up

thanks for looking!!

I LOVE the Lorax!  That is most definetly one of my favorite Dr. Seuss stories.  And your work (as always onegroovyday!) is awesome!  Definetly wisted!
