I moved into a brand new townhouse with my mom in June, and have been working at making my little room... well, MINE. Since it started as beige-beige-beige, it's been a challenge. I started with turquoise walls and red accents, and added in the things that I love.
Framed B-Movie Posters (from a Calendar)
My getting-ready area with salvaged thrifted mirror and 2 of the many masks from my mask collection (the rest are in storage). I may some day put that carpet down, but as of now the task is too daunting. And I don't usually have an Alpine hat sitting on my (also thrifed & vintage) dresser, but I'm going to Oktoberfest tonight.
Delightful mermaid lamp on my nightstand. Always a feature of any of my rooms.
The view from the other route, with my desk/bookshelf. Also my ukulele & a bark fairy house my dad carved for me.

And, since I'm an avid reader, my book shelf (this shelf had JUST enough books to fit horizontally when I moved in 3 months ago, and now it's overflowing. And that's not counting the other 2 bookshelves of books in storage...). Also showcasing a lot of my swap-received goodies (the happy turd & cupcake, the girl & bird art, the mushroom, the black cat, some bookmarks tucked in here and there), and one measly thing by me (the black spotted bowl).
And my corner, not too exciting. But it does have a vintage owl statue (new for me!), my reconstructed jeans tree bag that holds my current knitting & embroidery projects (Received in a swap), and jellyfish picture (also swap received).

And I almost forgot... the BEFORES:
