I came home from an icky day at work and what was on my porch but a mystery box! Well, I guess I am only expecting two packages, so it was a very easy mystery to solve. I couldnt contain myself and ripped into the box as soon as I got in the door. I must say, my partner did not disappoint!

First and foremost, the books. I got Carefree Clothse for girls off my Amazon wish list and an awesome book on crazy sock monsters. That is actually a really good choice because I have rainbow toe socks from Halloween two years ago. I really should do something with them.

I also got three sweet notebooks. One is large with plain white paper and the mini one has lined paper. But the best is the love one. Its made out of paper lunch sacks and scrap paperssoooo cool! I also put the gift card and her business card in the corner because they are sooo pretty.

Supplies out the wazoo! Four different HUGE pieces of fabric, three zippers and a ton of floss. I think the yellow fabric and my new book may mean a birthday dress for the little lady.

Extras (can you tell Im spoiled yet?); a crocheted hat and socks for the little lady, a bottle cap pin for moi!

And ending with a shamelessly cute action shot.

Whew! Thank you so much wonder woman, that was a killer package! Maybe there is a bit of pressure nowbetter get crafting!

i picked up my totally sweet package from the post office today!
h-chan was an amazing partner and sent me wicked awesome goodies!!!

first, the book, wish was #1 on my list (i'm so happy):

and my supplies, two giant canning jars (perfect for a new bourbon barbecue sauce recipe i just cooked up) and a cherry/olive pitter (excellent, since i loathe doing it by hand):

and for my first crafted item, a couple jar cozies which will be perfect for handling hot jars or wrapping them up pretty - i showed my favorite sides here, with the raddish, avocado, orange and strawberry!

and the best item - i've put it on every swap list i've been in and h-chan is the first to deliver - my very own picard!!!!!!! the beads on the bottom say "make it sew"

i promise he doesn't have a weird wig or something, he's just already hanging from my car mirror! yeah... i sorta opened my package right there in the post office parking lot. i was gettin' some weird looks, but it was totally worth it!

thanks!!!!!!!!!!

you guys are never going to believe this, but i think my sewing machine is broken. Cry
i only have a few more seams to make on my project, so i can borrow my mom's and it shouldn't affect the sending date...

i thought it was a tension thing, but i adjusted it both ways and it still jams every two inches... it just stops and there's a ton of threads coming up from the bottom! completely jams. i took the cover off, dusted, oiled, re-threaded the machine, adjusted the tenion (both ways)... nothing helps! saaaad!

I am having the exact same issue with my machine!!! I've tried everything. Dusting, oiling, tensions, new needle.. *sigh* I need to take it in to be looked at I guess.

I hate being without my sew machine. Sad
