A friend of mine needs me to produce a bonnet like this one for him, but I'm not quite sure how to do it. Hat making is a new thing fro me, so I can't quite figure out the pattern for something like this. Dose  any one know of a Tutorial for making something similar to this? Or even, what shape the pattern pieces would be? It for an Adult head, not a child.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

to me it looks like a rectangle for the brim and a large circle of fabric gathered onto one side of the brim. You shouldn't gather all of the circle, leave perhaps 1/5 of it ungathered so it can close around the neck, then add strings.

there are probably loads of patterns for this kind of thing online, google historical reneactment hat making or garb making

Yeah, you could probably also get a pattern at JoAnn's or something especially since it's halloween and they have all the costume stuff out.

Thanks so much for the tutes! I got it done this morning! Thanks so much!
I took all the tutes into account, and then blazed my own trail, this is what I came up with. I put elastic in the back for comfort too.
