Oh my gosh! Thank y'all very much for all the nice comments! It makes me a little less nervous! I hope she loves it. And speaking of love, I have kind of fallen in love with the moda "packs"...makes it super simple to get the coordinating fabrics!

Love the quilt and the little prarie points.  It's very well done.  Please don't take this the wrong way, but I want that quilt for my little guy!  I love that it could go either way and the colors are so calming.

Thanks! @NavyBlue! No, it's a total compliment and I agree with the calming colors! It is a little vintagey, and that's what drew me to it. Calm colors! Plus I really, really like the shades of blue and coral (?) the line uses.

It's just beautiful! I have to ask since Minky can be so slippery, did you have to use a walking foor when quilting it?

Good question! I'm pretty sure my walking foot is always on...that's the one it pushes it through and kind of guides it for you, right? You'd think I'd know these things. But I've had the same simple Kenmore sewing machine since I was 12...I lost the instruction manual a long time ago (not that I read it much back then, anyway)! However, I did use basting spray for the first time on this project. It was a life saver!

Ok, so I looked it up and now I'm not sure. My sewing machine just has the regular silver "clamp" that holds down the fabric to the machine, and underneath it has what I can assume are "feed dogs" to move it along. I figured that was standard, so a walking foot is technically different?

I am ashamed to call myself a quilter. lol.

Really pretty! I've never seen prairie points before, I'll have to try them. I think the recipient of this quilt will use it for a long time -- many baby quilts in all pink or in pastels seem babyish pretty quickly, but this is just straight-up gorgeous.
