I decided that I needed to take up knitting ever since I saw Genevieve Miller's Vampire Knits. Here is my first knitting project completed: the Palm Reader fingerless gloves from the book like Alice Cullen wore in Eclipse. I was quite proud seeing that I was terrified of knitting in the round (my DH kept joking saying that I needed goggles because I was going to poke my eye out with the dpns) and they only took me 2 days. Now I have something to keep my hands warm at work!
Me wearing them (well one, the other hand was taking the photo):

And the pair"

Now I am off to start the Tourniquet Scarf!

Congrats on your first knitting project, and welcome to the darkside, mwhahaha.

These are really cute!! I think my favorite project from this book is the cover image, that purple hooded cloak-thingy.  Stunning!

I am saving that Lore Hoodie for when I am a bit more skilled  Wink I am planning on making it in blue instead of purple and a nice woman at the local yarn shop ordered all the skeins I needed for it at a discount!
