I made this wee scary house for the Tiny Haunted House Swap and I couldn't wait for my partner to post pics in the gallery (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=360605.0), so I'm posting my house here.  Besides, it just doesn't feel like a project is complete until I've posted it on craftster.   Grin

Shall we begin the tour?  Yes, let's.

Are those ghosts flying around the roof?  Yes, indeed.

Close up of the stone walls and slate roof.

Something baaaad must have happened here.  That's blood running down the gold-leafed walls.

The ceiling escaped the mayhem and simply glows.

Luckily, the lighting helps the gold glow through the dried blood.

For the first round of the Tiny House Swap I "engineered" a flat pack house and I wanted to flat-pack again and almost got it.  The ghosts and the "candle" kept me from a truly flat package, but I had a good deal of fun packing this up. The packaging ended up being a craft project of it's own.

I used embroidery floss to attach it to cardboard that I labeled.

I used TP and masking paper tubes to hold a second piece of cardboard off the house.

The first bit she'll see when she opens it (excpet a small wad of bubble wrap).

I hope she likes it!

Ah, thanks!  I'm at the point where I can't see another one of these for awhile.  It got real fussy.

Thanks!  The other houses in the gallery are even MORE detailed.  Hoo boy.

Why, thank you!  I used professional decorative painting textures (from my day job) and it was really fun to make something totally different with them.
