Hello everyone i really want to make this hat http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/swirls-cap but it needs to be in a size 2 for a toddler and that hat is meant for an adult, can someone please help me eather find a pattern like that but in the right size? or help me figure out how to make that hat smaller? thanks in advance. it's for a boy by the way so it doesnt' have to be exactly like that, but i like that it has the strap along the front of it.

Something you can do is use thinner yarn and a smaller hook, use the hook that will get you the right measurement when divided into the number of sts to start with. You may get similar pattern ideas in the crochet forum, btw.
