This is so cute, and such a great idea.  Roll Eyes
I've never done cables before but, this'll be a great small project to learn with.
I'd really like to make some for my parents as, they're big Tim Horton's fans. I only have a size small Tim Horton's paper cup.
So I was wondering if anybody would happen to know the size of a Tim Horton's cup, for a size medium and large?
I'd really appreciate any help with the sizes of those particular cups.  Grin
And thank you so much, for sharing such an adorable pattern.

I first saw your sweet coffee cup sleeve on treehugger.com... (or maybe it was readymade magazine's website?), which had a link to another site, and then here to craftster.  I was so excited that I had to go out that day and buy another needle so I could do the cabeling!  I was surprised at how easy it is!   Cheesy

Sorry for the crappy phone pic... there's something wrong with my digital camera and couldn't wait to borrow my boyfriends.

I forget what brand yarn this is, I had it left over from a calorimetry I made last winter.  It's worsted weight though, and I used size 5 needles.  I had to repeat the 10 rows 6 times, and it fits it perfectly!

They all look so nice. I went out and got some different sized cups, so that I can make some.
But I was wondering if anyone would know, how I could make them wider?
Other than just adding onto the knit stitches at each end.
Maybe I could somehow add onto the cable? I don't have the knowledge, to figure out how to do this.
Any help, please?     Roll Eyes

I've made a ton of these, but this one happens to be my favorite design and color.  I've used other cable knit patterns from lionbrand's website.

Thanks for the neat idea!

Mmm... coffee cozy. Fabulous take on it, and the cabling is beautiful!

I recently made a whole bunch of similar cozies as a fundraiser: http://nobaddays.wordpress.com/2010/03/01/hearting-haiti/

I've been meaning to learn how to knit cables and this DOES look like the perfect start.

BTW, they are just as handy for Starbucks iced drinks. I always carry one in my purse.
