I took A LOT of inspiration from Katy Perry for this Halloween's costume and wanted to post pics of the shoes I just completed...I am so pleased with how they turned out Cheesy  1 pair of shoes + 2 sticks of hot glue + 1 package of candy buttons + 4 burned fingertips + 2 hours of tedious button/paper removal = the best accessory for costume imaginable!!!

Here is the inspiration; the shoes Katy Perry wore in the "Caliornia Gurl" video.  I was just working with shoes I already own instead of buying new...i kind of enjoy the red on mine though!!!

I will be posting pics of the whole ensemble soon, it's still a work in progress Cheesy

Questions and Comments are welcome, THANK YOU for looking!!!

Hahahaha.  I saw the platforms and all I could think was "hey, they totally look like those candy strips that I haven't seen since I was a kid!" Then I saw what they were made from.  Duh, Kim.  Super cute!

THese shoes totally rock... yes they do!

How are the fingertips? Glue gun burns are the worst...especially with sore fingers from tediously pulling the buttons off the paper. (why can't they make them come off easier I wonder)

Can't wait to see the whole shebang!  Smiley

These are awesome!

I would only suggest applying some sort of clear coat to the candy buttons. I'm imagining something wet hitting the shoes could turn into a sticky mess by the end of the night! Wink

Those are amazing! You did a fantastic job. I prefer the red shoes better than her white ones--they're more eye catching!
