This board looked awful lonely so I thought I would start this one, since it seemed fairly popular before.

Pretty laid back to start out with.

Pick a fantasy item, embroider it (or cross stitch or whatever,) and show us what you did. It can be either an original pattern or find one somewhere.

Ideas; mermaids, dragons, fairies, centaurs, etc... Be creative!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

lol, I honestly would buy it, because to be honest I just finished a fairy because I figured someone would start this thread. But no one did, so I figured I should. I'm not sure what I should do with her yet, I just sketched her out and stitched her, so I have to still find a place for her. I'll post pics soon.

Great mermaid though I would love to see a friend, were you thinking a merman or another mermaid? Or a merdog or mercat or merbird?

Thanks for understanding Ezri B! I'm thinking of making her a twin in a different pose though and not on a terry towel.

Messy jessie- you can do it, it's so easy and fun.

cowgirl- I think if you've ever fantasized about a pirate, it may qualify.  Roll Eyes

I would say a pirate is considered a fantasy type item. Pretty much anything YOU would consider fantasy I think could be counted as fantasy.

Plus pirates are great, so I'd love to see it anyway

Well, I finally took some pictures of my fairies. They didn't turn out quite as I had hoped. The pattern came from a drawing I did years and years ago. I always loved the drawing, and wanted to do something with it, then when I started embroidering I thought of this drawing. The black one is the second embroidery I ever did, the color one is the third. I haven't decided what to do with them. There are parts of both that I love, and there are parts to both that I'm really disappointed in. It was hard to simplify the drawing that I had done, I needed to get rid of lots of the detail. I just did them on scrap pieces of fabric. They both need to be pressed, and the pics aren't that great, it was really cloudy and windy when I was trying to take the pics. Anyway, here they are.
