Badbird- how do you acheive that shadowing along the outline on all of your doggy portraits? I love all your work!

Artgeek, is her skin all done in satin stitch? I'm working on a lady right now, but the area of skin is pretty large. I'm not really sure which stitch to use to get the effect you have there in yours.

I dream of a house covered with your art, and would love a personal swap. Pm me if you'd like to spread the crafty love! I also need blue fabric scraps for a scrap quilt!

Pearliepie, it is in satin stitch and I really think there has to be a better way. Maybe a more experienced embroiderer could offer some advice?

It was really difficult for me to figure out which way to "paint" the stiches and to keep them tight enough so they wouldn't sag; I still think her nose is a little saggy.

For reference, I think my final piece is about 3.5" x 6.5". I'll measure tomorrow and say for certain, though.

Thanks, everyone, for your compliments. I'm really pleased with her. Cheesy
