I made a sketchbook using this same method years back, and used an old out of commision paint brush (you know the type- lot's of paint splatters, lots of characters, but matted bristles and not good for anyting except to look at) in place of the chopstick and corrugated cardboard as the cover, with a cute little scene painted over the cardboard. I really hope that notebook is still in storage- the beauty of these notebooks is that they can last forever, instead of tossing them once they are out of paper. I probably replaced the paper two or three times before i misplaced it.
