I don't know if there's been another round since 11/25/08 (Swap Thread[url=http://, [url=http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=288009.0]Gallery], [url=http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=288009.0]Gallery) but I'd love to make another zine.

The idea is you are grouped in a group of maybe 5 people (maybe three, maybe just one? But the more the merrier, I think) and you swap a zine. So if you're in a group of 5, you'd make 4 copies of your zine to send to partners.

The zine topic could be anything. Whatever interests you or you feel like sharing. It can be text, illustration, comic but usually there's a theme, like "Sea Creatures" and the zine follows some format. It's not *usually* a collage. There's usually some text.

It can be: a list, a to-do list, a travelogue, a wishlist, a how-to (craft-related or otherwise), what's wrong with our government, what's wrong with ______, a recollection of a time in your life (my life as a stripper, my years at Yale), a comic strip (but it should have some length to it, 1-3 pages is a pretty short zine, aim for 10-20+ pages.

Zines are usually pretty rough looking, with black and white stapled pamphlet/book appeal. But every zine is different. A zine should have something to say in a cohesive way. It's (usually) more than a sketchbook (not to hate on drawing!) but not as refined as a glossy magazine.

So is anyone up for a zine swap?
