I made this Day of the Dead girl for my partner Tadiera in the Hoopla swap. It was my first large embroidery and my first pattern transfer. I bought a Urban Threads pattern that just screamed my partners name. I used her favorite colors, which happen to me my favorite color combo blue, green, and purple. I used lime green, teal, turquoise, purple, and red. I modified the pattern a little by deleting the leafs from the roses, it was just too much. It was my first time satin stitching and back-stitching, and it turned out amazing. Now I just have to make one for myself. Hope you like it too.

Human rights are for EVERYONE.  Did you know that Aung San Suu Kyi had been released from house arrest in Burma? Many other prisoners of conscience are still being detained.  Please research this topic... Amnesty International needs your help.
