He he... It would be the yarnies AND sewist wishlist swap this time.

Oh, I ran into danger today. Unexpected market on my way from my appointment and unexpected yarnstore on wheels. Bah... Sock yarn doesn't count anyway... I found a colour a bit darker, but close enough to mend my favourite pair of hand warmers. I didn't knit them so I didn't have suitable leftovers. I'll just go for "close enough" to make them wearable again.

Yeah, it's great. They've got a small truck you can walk into filled with yarn and notions, and then they usually put a tent outside too, filled with whatever yarns they want to display a bit better. They seem to visit markets around the area and I've seen them in at least three different towns so far... The selection wasn't fantastic today, but I figure they might stock whatever that particular town has a demand for. More embroidery stuff than usual.

And now I know they come once a month. Muahahaha! I thought I was living in yarnless land out here.

I only get in trouble when it catches me off guard like today =D Thankfully most of the yarn is pretty cheap compared to what it can be and they have no really high end yarns.

Kind of wish I had a partner to shop for... I always feel more justified when I shop for a swap =) But I'm getting to the point where I should be able to craft from my stash in a swap.

I guess the rest of the month you have time to work up your resistance! Wink

I've been trying to craft from my stash as much as possible though I have purchased yarn for specific projects (like the FOC Wist swap, the last round of this swap, etc.)  It's hard just to go to stash--I have so many odds and ends of random balls of yarn that it makes projects sometimes more difficult. I don't like waste and especially not of the yarn-y type.

I don't *have* to but it would be fun to be in a swap and have the perfect yarn already Smiley My fiance says I can't have more yarn, but I say I can. My money, my cluttered craft room and I'm pretty sure his DVD/blueray collection is just as bad when it comes to taking up space and costing money Tongue

A wishlist swap should help... It's fun to get to pick the item you want to craft Smiley And I might be strange but I like writing wishlists... It's an art form to manage to balance them just right so they are picked quickly. But I guess stalling wont be an issue in this swap.
