what? really? where are all you lovely spinners hiding today? I always get confused and second guess whether or not it is actually friday, when there's no fiber friday post.

hautton. hand dyed merino wool, and alpaca.

gute karneval. hand dyed merino wool and bamboo.

a10 royalty. Merino wool, mill end wool, alpaca, hemp and shparkly shtuff.

mish mosh. mostly merino wool, with bits of mill end wool, alpaca, mohair, bamboo, and shparkly shtuff.

your turn!

Oh, I love them all!  Especially the first two!

I don't have anything to share this week.  But I agree, it is strange when there's no Fiber Friday post.

Thanks for keeping it going.  Hopefully I'll have something to share next week.

Here's what I made this week!
I bought some wonderful fibers at wildhare fiber studio on etsy and this is the result

Still on the bobine

Detail

Unforetunately, the camera refuses to show the colours properly.. Angry It'a nice blend of different shades of green, mixed up with a tiny little bit of brown. Fibers are Bluefaced Leicester Wool, which is very nice to spin.
The roving was called "Irish Eyes" and I think I'll keep that name for the yarn, too, because I really like it. Smiley

Nesse - I love mish mosh! Did you use fiber you carded yourself?

morrigan_le_faye - your yarn is gorgeous, though I will admit to being partial to anything green. Smiley

I'm hoping to start spinning again regularly, but first I have to convince my son that there's more to life than nursing.   Wink

beautiful yarn morrigan! I'm always a little envious of those of you who can produce a thin, consistant single. I just find it utterly boring. props to you!

hehehe lapoli, just get one of those baby slings to props him up, so he can nurse, and you can be hands-free to spin Wink

oh, here's the deal with mish mosh (and future mish moshes)... when I'm felting, I tend to take a huge handful of a certain colour, and whatever I don't use gets thrown into a mish-mosh bag. when I get inundated with mish mosh, I roughly card it all together to keep the colour variation. next time, I want to experiment a bit with the carding process, instead of just chunking it all on, willy nilly.

Nesse, I keep a 'mish-mosh' bag and card it all together.  I call it my 'Ugly Duckling' batts.

Just finished 100 yards of chain-plyed.  Forgot to get pictures of it though.  I'm working on Eeyore's roving now.  Just finishing up the 2nd bobbin and will 2-ply it.  Think I'll spin up one of Freestyle's batts before I 2-ply though...

Here we go ... just finished 2nd bobbin of Eeyore and decided to spin up Freestyle's "Crazy Girl"  (Superwash, Merino, Silk, Bamboo, Milk Fiber, Threads, Firestar, Glitz"  and ply it with a few sparkly threads ... one multi, one red & one purple.

Her's the new "Crazy Girl"

I still haven't figured out the 'macro' on my camera yet!!!

Beautiful! I am loving that "Crazy Girl!" Purple and sparkles for me! Funny, I might not have admitted that before having a baby girl...

Morrigan, that doesn't look too squishy but it does look like it wants to be joined into my stash and someday made into something wonderful.

I have yarn to post this week that I am really really proud of but I haven't uploaded my pics yet! AH! Maybe I will get up them up for next Fiber Friday? Remember before when I was saying I needed cards before I got to spinning again? Well, I GOT THEM! You will see next week... So excited!
