Wow  My mouth is watering now and I'm stuck at work! I love pumpkin but my husband won't touch it. Oh, well... More for me, I guess!

I posted a Pumpkin Crisp recipe a while back, but its definately very "semi-homemade" and I don't think it could complete with these delicious recipes!

I actually just made this recipe for the first time this morning and it's my first time cooking with pumpkin.  It was pretty simple and the granola tastes amazing and makes your house smell heavenly.

Have you all ever tried stuffed pumpkins? I like to take my pumpkins, gut them, season with salt and pepper and stuff them with chunks of bread and cheeses, garlic, and a little heavy creme...... Delish! I bake them on a cookie sheet but be careful! They can collapse (still delicious, just messy... )

My local bakery had these INCREDIBLE pumpkin cookies with cream cheese frosting a few weeks ago...I think I bought out their entire supply because they didn't have any more the last time I went in  I'm going to go by there and look for more and maybe try to get the recipe while I'm there.

I made this for my hubby's birthday last year, and it was AMAZING (other then it exploded out the top and made a mess...  that's the last time I do the water bath schtuff.  Straight in the oven with every cheesecake I  make from here on out.)

easiest (& yummy) pumpkin muffin recipe EVER:  1 box of spice cake mix + 1 can of pumpkin (not the pie filling, actual pumpkin)  It tastes like pumpkin pie in muffin form, AWESOME! You can also make pumpkin bread with this too!

I have not cooked many pumpkin recipies yet, as pumpkin is not as popular in Germany than it seems to be elsewhere. But during the last years, it got better and you can actually buy different sorts of pumpkin now!

This is my favorite recipe so far: Pumpkin-Soup with Coconut

Steam 700 g pumpkin with some garlic, some onions and some ginger in 2 spoons of oil.
Deglaze with 400 ml coconut milk and 600 ml vegetable stock. Cook for 15 minutes
at medium heat.
Then it gets pureed and seasoned with salt, pepper and if you want, some chili and lemon.
You can eat it with some bread.

I hope I found all the right words for the recipe. My cooking vocabulary is not as good as my crafting vocabulary...

I'm showing these pumpkin raisin county fair cake entries (both blue ribbon winners) as an example of how nice gum paste pumpkins look as decorations.  You can get gum paste powder (just add water) and icing colors many places, including WalMart.  It's just like playing with clay.

either i mixed my gum paste wrong, or something, because anything I've ever made out of it was hideous and cracked when it dried   Those pumpkins are cute!
