i have rec'd, within the past few days, 5 really unique and beautiful cards!
from MunLtStmpr a very intricate paper cutting that amazes me every time i look at it. so much detail! and she sent me an extra!

from kimchery a really great tiny birdhouse made of polymer clay, two very sweet birds eying it and the word "roost" in wire.

and from pioneer9 a heart with wings card. this is special symbol for me and i love how she depicted it. you can't really see it, but the heart is made of some foreign language (german maybe?) which i think is really cool.

and last but not least from blupaisan....you know when you say 'the picture doesn't do it justice' ? well i've never  meant that more than i do now because this card is really awesome but i could not get a good pic of it! i literally took 20 different pic's trying to get one that wasn't blurry. unfortunately, i couldn't do it but believe me this card rocks! all of it is made of natural elements. the actual card is birch bark, the sides are reeds, and the front is decorated with a red leaf, moss, a curly vine and a stalk of wheat-looking plant. finally, it has the quote "I believe in God, only I spell it Nature" from Frank Lloyd Wright. Love this CARD!!!

thanks ya'll for adding some really great cards to my collection!

Here is a  strange but true fact from suereal. I love both how she created the elephant and how he has a useless jumprope in his trunk!  Lol!
Then she did one on my sunset theme, 'cept it is on Mars! So pretty.

Next up, from WideEyedLife -
bald guys themed

look at all that skin. Yay!  One of them looks incredibly like my brother, who is always complaining about his lack of hair.
and then for my fire theme - a fantastic take on a "hot" chick in the snow.

I think her sketching skills are wonderful, don't you?  She also sent along this larger piece which makes me want to sit right down on the bench and enjoy the leaves!

thank you both for making my trip to the mailbox a great one!!

OS glad you like um!  The Mars Sunset is actually a very very close up of one of those glass blobs they use in stand glass on flower arrangements and such, that is stuck in my Moms patio in her back yard LOL.  But I thought it looked allot like a strange sunset.  It was super fun to make the Strange Fact card too.  Poor little elephant needs a tread mill I guess.

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

I received this adorable ATC from blupaisan that she titled "The (fat) cupcake fairy".  It is too cute!  Blupaisan explained, "I decided there aren't enough (or any) fat fairies depicted, so I figured out what would make a fairy fat..."

This is SO adorable, and such a fun idea.  I like that this nudey fairy is so completely comfortable with herself and so happy to sit and lick frosting off her finger.  And I'm not going to be able to look at a cupcake anymore without thinking about nudey little fairy cheek impressions!  lol

I received two terrific ATCs from blupaisan.

This is one themed on her home state, Vermont and features a REAL flower plucked from the state itself!

The second--EVEN THOUGH IT WAS WRAPPED IN BUBBLE WRAP!!--still managed to get mangled by, hmmm, some Federal dept. people who are involved in, hmmmm, mail. Good thing is, even I  will be able to handle the restoration. "C IS for coffee!"

The frothy coffee inside the cup is a super soft piece of felt--so cute!
Thank you!

Wow, lurker here totally being converted to ATC fan.  I'll be honest, when I first saw there was such a thing, I wondered why.  I didn't understand why anyone would want one.  I SO GET IT NOW.  I LOVE THESE THINGS!  Okay can I tell you how much I WANT that fox and starscape?  WANT.  And the non-jumping elephant...LOL...so cute!  And the fat fairy!  So awesome!  On days when we just have no motivation and are so tired for no reason, my partner and I say we're being sat on by a big, fat angel.  :-)  I'm definitely getting into the next round and try my hand at these.  I've already started my themes list based on the amazing work I've seen in the galleries.   Smiley
