I was so happy to see this contest! I just love Mama. I knew right away I wanted to do a cross stitching project. It took FOREVER but she's finally done!!!

She took just about a month. It was a fun project, but I found out the hard way that bleach is NOT the way to go to remove stains from aida cloth (turns it yellow). Anyone know a good solution for stains?

just some detail shots

I hope you like it! Can't wait to put her up on my wall!

For the stain - it depends on what made the stain in the first place.  Maybe try oxy-clean if it was an organic stain (blood, juice, grass, the like), but I'm not sure how well it will work on the bleach yellowing...

The cross-stitch is amazing, though!  Great job!

I was going to do a cross stitching project as well, but ran out of time.  Glad to see someone got one up.  Excellent work! Grin

I have much respect for anyone who cross stitches and WOW! your project is amazing!

I don't know anything about getting the yellowing out, but I think that stain would be a great place for a stitched ball of yarn Smiley
