Okay here is another new post, only my second one! I saw this in Interweave Knits and loved it. I was a little nervous when I first started this project because it was a little more complicated than anything I had previously done-but now I know it's super easy and I laugh at the mistakes and dropped stitches! I love yellow, so  I chose some yellow cotton yarn and made three of them, each one got better but this pic if of the first one.

The towel:

Very cute towel!

I would love to make something like this, however I've seen what my husband can do in the kitchen (he's the cook) and I'm really scared to let my handknits near him whilst cooking  Wink

The towel turned out great!
I second Striker though.  My husband, despite being a trained cook, leaves the kitchen a disaster zone.  It would break my heart so see such hard work stained forever.  ... but don't let that deter you.  Keeping knitting!!

yeah i try really really hard to make sure my husband never comes in the kitchen! and he barely even uses a towel-he is more likely to use an antique tablecloth or something worse as a towel....so now that i have thought about it maybe i should buy a few and label them"TOWEL"! lol!

That's really cute! My Stitch n Bitch ladies were on a serious dish cloth kick last year, maybe this year we should try that pattern in different colours! It turned out really nice and the colour is great for a kitchen, so sunny!

What copy of Interweave Knits?
Looks like an adapted version of kitty.com's breast cancer scarf.

Handy hanging device already incorporated.
Great work.
And I like your choice of colour

Very nice! And yellow is such a great kitchen color.  I would love to give this a try someday, loving that it already has a hanging loop.  Good job!!

Jane2- I think it was last year's Interweave Knits Weekend, it's one of those special issues.

I am glad everyone likes the color!
