I love cutting things out of scrap-booking paper and knew that would lend itself well to this project.

I started out with a bit of pixel art so I could figure out all the colors I would need as well as what shapes to cut out.

I usually have some pretty cute company when I work.

I'm new to Crafster and this is my first challenge.  I had a lot of fun and I hope you like it!

Oh, she's just perfect!  She really does make a great piece of framed art.

How did you achieve the layers, little foam squares or another form of genius?

Its very clean looking!  I can't quite tell from the pictures--did you cut out little squares or little bunches of color from paper?  Is it all made out of cardstock?
Either way-very nice!

Thanks everyone!  The layers are achieved by using double sided foam mounting tape. I buy a big roll of it and just cut it down to whatever dimensions i need for a project.  The cutout itself is from various types of scrap-booking paper, some is card stock, some is a little flimsier (it kind of all depends on finding the right color/texture/pattern in whatever type of paper I can).  She is made out of blocks of color as opposed to individual pixels.  I thought that would be better to show some dimension.
