I forgot after last year to post my anglerfish/mermaid costume that I spent so many painful hours handpainting! I started with an old prom dress, cut and resewed the sides and bottom, and then painted on these scales in silver textile paint, and made a glowing dangler thing out of wire and leftover material.

I can't get it to photograph right but there are also clear phosphorescent paint spots that I painted down the sides that glow in the dark:

They worked okay, and I would love to get some ideas from anyone on how I might be able to electrically wire the entire thing with LEDs or something without totally destroying the dress. Hope you like!
